MARSH GIRL CAUGHT IN TRAP Today our brave Sherriff and courageous deputies were able to apprehend the Marsh Girl [Kya Clarke] about a mile out to sea from Jumpin's wharf. The Marsh Girl, always considered an outsider and vagrant here in town, is the prime suspect in the horrific murder of Barkley Cove's own beloved star Quarterback, Chase Andrews. Her motive is believed to be a spurned love she had for young Mister Andrews. It seems she just couldn't let anyone else have him! The Sherriff and his deputies, had noted the Marsh Girl's movements of late. They then lay in waiting off shore from Jumpin's shop in a heavy fog and the rat fell into their trap. A brief chase ensued in which the quarry seriously injured a passer-by, ramming her boat. However Miss Clarke was soon apprehended by the dogged Sherriff [though even then she did not go quietly, as animals are most dangerous when cornered].
