GENEVA GAZETTE OBITUARIES
Doctor Victor Frankenstein. [Antartica]
Sadly, news has reached us here in Geneva of the passing of Victor Frankenstein, the acclaimed medical practitioner and Biochemist. Little is known of his final moments other than he had made contact with Captain Robert Walton and his expedition as they sought to reach the North Pole and died in their care.
Doctor Frankenstein was universally acknowledged, if not always accepted, as a brave experimentalist in his field. His innovative, ground-breaking ideas were always viewed as unparalleled in the world of medicine. His fierce determination, sacrifice and ambition in genetics and beyond are the benchmarks by which he will be remembered.
However, Doctor Frankenstein's determination and focus came despite many setbacks in his life. His mother Caroline died whilst giving birth to Victor's youngest sibling William. The young boy was murdered in mysterious circumstances at a young age. Tragedy struck yet again when both his father, the renowned physician Alphonse, and his fiance Elizabeth died, soon after his return from the University town of Ingolstadt.
But for the support of Victor's long time friend Henry Clerval, these incidents would have been enough to subdue any mere mortal. However Victor was soon off on a remarkable trip to the furthest reaches of the Arctic Ocean on his next adventure. Alas little is known of the circumstances surrounding his secretive mission other to report his passing. The medical world has indeed lost a true, pioneering icon.
